6:50 Naturally, the second note of the double will be a little bit louder. That's so interesting: When I try to imitate this technique while watching the video for the first time, by first stroke is always louder. I guess that probably means I'm doing something fundamentally different from you, but who knows. In any case, if you can make the sound more even, and we seem to be using a mixture of muscles (full leg, ankle, toes) then you can probably make either stroke louder, just like with hand double strokes, where, even though the first note is naturally louder, you can actually make the second note very slightly louder by messing with the time displacement of your arm, wrist, and finger motions (specifically, I think I wait until after the first hit to grip with my fingers), and of course the standard goal is to be just shy of this so that the strokes sound even.

You opened two instances of EZdrummer 3 in two tracks to layer the sounds ?

Sounds much better than in Ez drummer 3 alone. A pity that the Main Room cannot sound as good in Ez drummer 3 alone. Or can you make it sound as good ?

This video is everything. I’m slowly working through this series tweaking my td-50 because I just recently got SD3. Should have done this years ago.

Any info on cymbal chokes? Running SD3 through a strike pro module, no cymbal chokes??

I've been struggling to play doubles with my foot for a while and this was very helpful. I noticed with the technique you're using that you are continually burying the beater into the head. I have recently been trying not to do that and was wondering your thoughts on this?

For this technique is it better for strong spring tension or keep it loose?

I can honestly say for me, you're a God-Send. I have been struggling with EZDrummer1 and a Roland TD-20 to dial everything in for years. All the way through EZD2 and 3 and Superior Drummer 1, 2, and now 3. Finally it seems we have the tools to dial it in. Hardest thing was the VH-12 high hats, never did get those right, but now with SD3 I'm hopeful I can dial them in. I'm on vacation right now, but when I get home, I'm going to do a deep dive. So glad I stumbled across these videos. I can't thank you enough, I'm so appreciative. Keep 'em coming Bro'. I have so many questions, is it possible to communicate with you through email?

Its been 3 months since i first saw this video and started really focusing on a routine for my slide techique. So far im already waaaay more comfortable with it and now my right foot feels much easier to handle. Kept all the tips you gave here. Thank you for that! And for people that may get frustrated with not accomplishing much in the first weeks, don't worry. Just focus on having a movement that is natural and relaxed. Speed and power will come.

Hi From Italy. A Question:I have set some parameters in SD3 gospel such as level, tuning smoothing etc....and I would like to save this to also use on other sets such as rock foundry, progressive foundry etc....how can I do so as not to work on this every time? Thank you
